Obama for President

There is no doubt, Barak is presidential material.  His easy charm could translate into world peace.  That is, unless he gets sidelined by the Republican political bible punchers.  I don’t see how.  I think most Americans have had their fill of Republican hypocritical self-rightiousness.  It’s phony.

I have to tell you, if he wins - and I sure hope he does - I will take my hat off to all Americans.  They would finally have reached the maturity to look past their narrow-mindedness and vote for talent.  Maybe some day they will also stop categorizing people.  Is it important what colour or religion a person is?  How about if their mother tongue is Spanish?  Is that any reason to call them Hispanics or black or white, for that matter.  I don’t think it’s right to segment people.  They are souls no matter what their ethnic background.

I’ve been criticized for being too left.  Frankly, I don’t care.  Call me whatever makes you feel good.

Well, I’ve had my say for one morning.  I feel better now.  I hope he likes Canadians.

The Prosecution Of George W. Bush For Murder

About Vincent Bugliosi
Vincent Bugliosi received his law degree in 1964. In his career at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, he successfully prosecuted 105 out of 106 felony jury trials, including 21 murder convictions without a single loss. His most famous trial, the Charles Manson case, became the basis of his true-crime classic, Helter Skelter , the biggest selling true-crime book in publishing history. Two of Bugliosi’s other true-crime books—And the Sea Will Tell and Outrage—also reached #1 on the New York Times hardcover bestseller list. No other American true-crime writer has ever had more than one book that achieved this ranking. His latest book, Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy , was also a New York Times bestseller, and is being made into a ten-part HBO miniseries, for which Tom Hanks will be a producer. Bugliosi lives with his wife of many years in Los Angeles.

Despite Mr. Bugliosi’s literary successes, the same publishing houses that would ordinarily vie for a Bugliosi book, passed on “The Prosecution Of George W. Bush For Murder” - a testament to the incivility of the Bush administration and the level of fear it engenders. Gratefully, Vanguard Press took the plunge. When someone asked Vince why corporate media and large corporate publishers ignored his book, he responded with: “The left is afraid of the right but the right’s not afraid of the left.”

The Forex Market

I just found something that may interest you if you’re thinking of buying and selling currencies.

The Forex market is a non-stop cash market where currencies of nations are traded, typically via brokers. Foreign currencies are constantly and simultaneously bought and sold across local and global markets and traders’ investments increase or decrease in value based upon currency movements. Foreign exchange market conditions can change at any time in response to real-time events

The investor’s goal in Forex trading is to profit from foreign currency movements. Forex trading or currency trading is always done in currency pairs, which seems to be going under constant change within a certain range for a period of time. It is estimated that anywhere from 70%-90% of the FX market is speculative. In other words, the person or institution that bought or sold the currency has no plan to go by in taking such decision. This is the major reason why people undergo a lot of loss in Forex.  If planned properly then Forex nothing but, a Money Minting Machine.

To invest in such high risk business market, the need and use of professional help comes naturally to mind. The basic business involves only prediction of future prices and a probability of change in the ratio of value of different currencies all over the world. This kind of prediction can be done very difficult for any human being but such calculation are very simple when done on a computer, the only thing needed is an interface/software through which the computer can interact and gives prediction of fall and rise in prices. Forex software of such kind have been under development for a while now and finally eToro is launched. eToro’s is extremely friendly interface which you can monitor, share, and discuss your trading activity while enjoying the latest financial updates and has the latest technology and uses the a highly developed algorithm to track and assist in price management. This easy to use platform allows you to use real or virtual money to execute real-time trades with a click of a button.  What’s more the software is available for Free Download too so try it and judge it for yourself.

Obama Made It

I’m just thrilled.

Between you and me, since Bush senior - skip a president - then Bush junior, I looked at Americans as a whole to be a bunch of red-necked yahoos.  You know the kind - hillbillies.  Oh there were exceptions but, if you were to believe the right-wing holier-than-thou group, the TV shows, the movies, and the news channels, it’s OK to carry guns, shoot first, ask questions later.  Just make sure you’re in church every Sunday and you read that Bible every night.  Hypocrites.  It isn’t by chance there’s a Bible in every hotel and motel in the country.  Why?  Why not a book of poetry or Buddhist chants?

Since Bush II, I had completely written off our neighbour.  I’ve not been back for a vacation since then.  In my opinion, that government is comprised of nothing but a set of murderers and thieves.  They will never pay for their crimes either, you can bet.  About that deck of cards they gloated over? I have my own set I’d like to pass out.

And then, along came Obama.

What a breath of fresh air.  Perhaps because he’d been exposed to another culture.  Perhaps because he’s not a washed-down version of a person of colour - his father was a real Kenyan and his mother was a real white Kansan.  Therefore he hasn’t that chip on his shoulders that so many people of colour have.  He also doesn’t have that weird “black” accent that so many have, either.  In fact, his “blackness” is a non-issue.   What a honey.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Hillary, but we all know Hillary.  She’s not an unknown.  She’s a Clinton, after all.  She’s extremely capable, extremely smart and a real hard worker but, she’s not a breath of fresh air.

Now, on the the White House, Barak Obama!

I’m already planning my next winter vacation.

The Ugly Duckling

How can I describe her? When I first met her, she looked “cheap”, “hard”. There was that do-it-yourself bleach job, for starters.  She suffered from acne. Her voice was tinny, jarring, guttural, clipped and sometimes, shrieking.   Although very fair-skinned she wore heavy black eyeliner on her upper lids.  She painted her eyebrows black.  Her skin was oily so, by mid-day, the painted eyebrows glistened and sometimes smeared.  She talked tough.  You’d think she had slept with every man in town.  Years later, I learned she’d been a virgin all that time.  Maybe she wanted to draw attention to herself.  Well, she did but in a negative way.

Jane was very thin yet her hips and thighs were ample.  She had no bust to speak of.  Furthermore, she seemed weary of life, although she was only nineteen at the time.  Jane was, at best, a curiosity. Some of the girls chided her. Some, like me, were curious and wanted to get to know her better. Despite outward appearances Jane was friendly and looked like she desperately wanted to be liked. Most of the girls shied away from her. I guess it was that hard edge that turned some people off. Tough girls are hard to like. Read more…
